Okay people, I promised a blog full of content that is actually worth taking the time to read so that is what I am going to give you. Today's post is all about living a happy life. For some, that sounds a lot easier than it might be. I want to share with you some tips and advice that can help you get started on your journey to wake up happy everyday. So heres to motivating, recharging and staying strong when you need to.
I believe in the law of attraction and that you get what you put into this world. If you release negative vibes, chances are you're going to be presented with negative outcomes in return. You're having a bad day, you wake up late, spill your coffee down your white shirt (lets be honest the chances of spilling when you're wearing white increase like 925792587%), and you end up being stuck behind a traffic jam on the freeway then once you get to work everything else continues down that path for the rest of the day. Don't let yourself even think negative thoughts let alone vocalize them. This is when you have to put your positivity pants on. Think about things that promote optimism because HELLO you can't be negative when you have those positivity pants on. Ask yourself, " What is one good thing about this situation?" Yeah, you may have spilt your coffee on your way to work, but be grateful you have a job. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?" That answer might be to not let yourself snooze your alarm 8 times in the morning. Am I right?
When it comes down to it, in my book there are 3 basic rules to overcoming negativity.
1. It's okay to be selfish sometimes.
I say this because a positive attitude comes from feeling good about yourself. Spend a little extra time getting ready in the morning and make an effort to be healthier and do more things you love. You know what they say, when you look good, you feel good.
2. Spend more time with people that support and uplift you.
I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for all the positive influences I have in my life. I have surrounded myself with people who want to see me succeed and would do anything to help me out if I needed it. It's beyond time to get rid of those toxic relationships. No one likes a complainer, no one likes a downer. Kick those negative nancys to the curb and watch the sun shine a little brighter.
3. If all else fails, watch Friends, eat some ice cream, online shop and put on some gangster rap and handle it. It will keep you going for another day.
Speaking of shopping, I am loving this graphic tee look that is so popular right now. There are so many options when it comes to pairing them. You can dress it up or down, with jeans or a denim skirt. Below is one of my favorite ways to wear it. I promise this won't be the last time you see an outfit featuring a graphic tee. I feel like I already have shown so many ways and would love to hear what you guys want to see from me.
Again, I try to keep most of my pieces relatively cheap because trends go in and out so quickly. I like to stay on top of the trends and thats why I love places like Forever 21, H&M and Cotton On. Check out the outfit details below!
