How To Shop On A College Budget

I always get people asking me where I get certain pieces of my wardrobe and to be honest, my response is usually Forever 21. I am a college student and most of my money goes towards my rent, my car or feeding myself. I am all about staying trendy and on top of the latest fashion without spending a fortune.  Style is constantly changing and updating so why spend a fortune on a pair of shoes that will only last a season? So here’s my tips on how to shop and stay on trend without breaking the bank.

  1. Always be on the look out for sales. (ASOS always has the best ones)
  2. Forever 21 is your best friend.
  3. Join a rewards program.
  4. Sell your old clothes that you’re sick of to Platos Closet to make extra $$.
  5. Share your closet with your roommates, BFFS or sisters for 10 x the wardrobe options.

I am so excited to be teaming up with Shop Hazel Avenue ( How cute is that name?), to showcase this spring look.  I am all about the florals this spring. It seems like everywhere I turn, I see floral and I’m not even mad about it. Floral is so versatile, it pairs so cute with literally everything. I have even worn an outfit with stripes and floral once, it’s possible people!

This outfit is what I wore on Easter Sunday and got so many compliments. Can we talk about how perfect it would be for all those summer weddings you have to go to? I can’t get enough of the floral and velvet combo either. My darling navy and pink floral top is from Shop Hazel Avenue and I paired it with this pink velvet, wrap skirt from ASOS aka my fave place to demolish my paycheck.

To complete the outfit, I slid on a pair of nude, perforated mules from Target. Seriously, who else is loving Target’s stuff lately? I swear I can’t go in there and not leave with at least 3 things in hand at the end of the trip. Help me, I have a serious shopping problem.

This particular top is sold out over at Shop Hazel Avenue, but be sure to check out all their other goodies at such a good price as well. I’m a college student so I’m all about affordable fashion and they have the cutest stuff!

Thanks for sponsoring this post Shop Hazel Avenue!
